Wang Laiwen,born in 1968 in Zhangpu,Fujian. 

Present titles:

Director of China Artists Association,Vice-president and Secretary of the Party Secretariat of Fujian Federation of Literary and Art Circles,Vice-president of Fujian Artists Association,postgraduate supervisor and President of Master's Thesis Committee in College of Fine Art of Fujian Normal University,the Executive Director of the China Great Wall Academy,Ministry of Culture,Deputy Director of the Flowers and Birds Painting Committee of China Culture Academy of Painting&Calligraphy,Director of Overseas Friendship Association of Fujian Province,Distinguished Painter of Fujian Academy of Painting.

In recent years,Wang has been appointed as one member of the Organizing Committee and the jury consultant of the National Art Exhibition for several times and even in a long-term service as General Convenor of the jury of Fujian Provincial Art Exhibition.

Wang Laiwen is also the People’s Artist and the youngest talent of key recommendation by the"Talk with the People's Artist"program.

His ink paintings of lotus are full of vitality and have a refreshing,noble and scholarly flavor.

In recent years,Wang has devoted himself to the study of ink painting of flowers and birds.He tries to capture the essence of Chinese traditional painting;besides,he observes the natural objects for inspiration and visits well-known mountains and rivers to broaden his mind.

He is skillful in the use of ink and colors.

In recent years,Wang is also devoted to reading and calligraphy practice to enrich his knowledge and improve self-cultivation.His refreshing painting skill integrates the modern flavor with the tradition.
